While we know there is no single formula that works to define our investments, there are some common themes which we seek in the investments which we consider.  These include:
 
Existing management which is looking to grow with a business, without dramatic shifts expected in team structure.
 
Leadership willing to have personal success driven unmistakably in conjunction with the success of the enterprise.
 
Existing profitability or demonstrable short-term expectation of profitability.
Something different.  We believe doing something cheaper than the next guy is great for a time, but longer-term sustainability of advantage in the marketplace is an important part of the value which we seek in companies.
 

We believe there are opportunities for us to add value to existing enterprises involved in varied specialties, and therefore look at a broad array of industries in which we will invest.  Our focus is more by company-size than by industry-type, with our targeted equity investment ranging from $1.0 - $10.0 million.
