FabIndia's bistro FabCafe launches 1st outlet in Kerala

Lucknow, Aug 17 (UNI) Fabindia, one of country's largest lifestyle retailers, focussed on the mid segment retail business with affordable price range of apparels to target the youths and younger generation, Fabindia Managing Director Viney Singh said here on Saturday.

“Nearly 50 per cent of our apparel products now are in the price range of Rs 1500 which will attract the younger generation, who will experience latest brand collection including ethnic and western wear”.

Mr Singh, who inaugurated the new Experience Center in the Hazratganj area of the state capital, said that Fabindia has targeted the western and fusion wear with enhancing the company’s monopoly on ethnic wear.

Taking to the media, he further said that a growth rate of over 25 per cent annually in Uttar Pradesh , the company was cruising ahead with bringing a new concept of experience centre for the customer.

He stated that UP being the most important state for the company, retail as well as sourcing of the apparel were much more from the state.

” We purchase chiken garments from Lucknow, silk from Varanasi and handloom from Bijnore and Almora. In UP we have 21 outlets including 11 in Noida and Ghaziabad and four more to be added in the list soon, “the MD revealed.

” Fabindia’s Experience Centers provide an alternative shopping experience by shifting from transactional exchanges to a more experiential and interactive experience. By creating a more engaging retail experience, Fabindia aims to have visitors experience this ethos, not just through the products they purchase but also through an immersive and inclusive experience, ” he said about the new experience centre opened in Lucknow.

“In addition to its signature offering across apparels, organics, home and personal care, this Experience Center house a FabCafé, Wellness Center, an Interior Design Studio and an Alteration Studio. The new format aims at delighting customers by creating unique experiences, he further stated.

Mr Singh expressed that FabCafe focuses on bringing a nutritious and contemporary menu highlighting India’s diverse spread of cuisine with an array of dishes that represent regional diversity.

He further revealed that Fabindia Experience Center also includes a designated space for Organic India’s first Wellness store in Lucknow.

” The Experience Center offers an Interior Design Studio (IDS) a one-stop design solution to help create memorable spaces. The IDS provides a range of services such as consultancy on layouts, mapping spaces, product customization and color scheme coordination, ” he disclosed.

Additionally, the alteration center provides a complimentary service post purchase of any apparel from the store, he further disclosed.

Fabindia’s Experience Center in Lucknow makes this the first Experience Center in Uttar Pradesh and the sixteenth in the country.

Following the success of its other Experience Centers in Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Bombay, Kolkata, Amritsar, Pune and Trivandrum, Fabindia plans to launch more such formats in various other cities in the country, the MD added.
